Luni Jančoraitė (b. 1998) is a Rotterdam based Producer, Production Manager, and Visual Artist. Following her 2024 MFA in Lens-Based media from the Piet Zwart Institute, she is establishing a career that prioritises the successful execution of creative projects. Luni’s early career began by exploring various art department roles across different film productions
Since 2018 she has worked as a production designer on small short film productions and assisted established production designers on large projects. Later, in 2021 Luni transitioned into the role Art Department Coordinator on various large-scale international productions, notably the Netflix series Young Wallander (S2). In this high-pressure, office-based role Luni managed complex workflows, budgets, and inter-departmental communications, discovering her passion for project management.
This foundational experience naturally evolved into her current position as a Producer. In 2025 she joined So-We, where she helps manage the production company, and supports realisations of fiction and documentary projects from development through production and post-production. She particularly enjoys the organisational side of filmmaking – bringing projects to life by connecting
crews, managing practical & creative processes and ensuring everyone on the team is well-informed,
heard, and aligned.
Luni’s personal creative practice is research-based and evolves organically without a predefined vision of the final result. Motivated to reconnect with her Baltic roots and explore Lithuanian cultural and historical contexts, she often starts projects by researching Baltic folklore, history, or traditions. Through poetic storytelling, Luni’s work reflects the intricate entanglement of past and present, exploring themes of identity, heritage, and the interconnectedness of humans and nature.
